Burgundy as you have
never seen it! approximately 1200kms of
rivers and canals. This remarkable wealth
explains by its geographic situation.
It is indeed in the heart of this region that is the watershed between three main French rivers (the Seine, the Loire, the Rhone).
To gather these three river, ponds were built in the XVIIth, XVIIIth, XIXth centuries, canals were added to the navigable rivers (the Saône, the Yonne and the Seille) so constituting a network of real liquid roads of an exceptional tourist interest.
Burgundy thru the Saône, the canal of the centre, the side canal in the Loire, the canal of Briare, the canal of Loing, the Seine, the Yonne, canal of Nivernais, canal of Burgundy. |
